Introduction
FLEXIBLE AND CAPABLE
The DHC-6 Twin Otter was developed by de Havilland Canada in 1965. Designed as a rugged STOL (Short Liftoff and Landing) commuter aircraft, the Twin Otter brought passengers and freight into severe environments such as the sub-zero Antarctic and scorching North African desert. The line was closed down in 1988, after producing 844 aircraft. Viking Air Limited bought the Type Certificates for all out-of-production de Havilland aircraft in 2005 and announced the Viking Series 400 Twin Otter Production Program two years later. By mid-2015 Viking delivered 75 brand-new aircraft and re-established the Twin Otter as an effective commuter airliner — while nearly 500 of the original aircraft likewise remained in operation. The E-flite® Twin Otter 1.2m is a scale reproduction that makes the best first twin-powered design for intermediate to skilled RC pilots. It's flexible, simple to fly, and is outfitted with practical features that include LED navigation and landing lights, flaps, and optional-use floats.

Both equipment options are simple to set up and can be swapped out in minutes.

Practical Features

Functional Features
The realistic-looking LED landing and navigation lights are factory-installed and powered from the flight battery. Operational flaps offer improved slow-flight capability and efficiency while likewise making it possible to take off and land in shorter ranges and at slower speeds.

Long lasting Design

Long lasting Design
Construction with molded EPO material makes it possible to duplicate complex details and shapes in a lightweight yet resilient type. The result is an impressive scale appearance that's simple to preserve and delivers the best flight experience possible.

SAFE technology

Bind-N-Fly Conclusion Level Benefit
Already own a Spektrum™ transmitter? Bind-N-Fly (BNF) aircraft make getting into the air rapidly and with the best control experience possible simpler than ever. They come out of the box with the power system, servos and a Spektrum 2.4GHz receiver installed so all you need to do is bind the receiver to a suitable transmitter, end up any final assembly, and fly!

This Bind-N-Fly Basic design is geared up with a Spektrum 2.4GHz DSMX® receiver featuring AS3X (Synthetic Stabilization–3-aXis) technology that works behind the scenes to ravel the impacts of wind and turbulence. The result is a heightened sense of stability and precision that makes you seem like you're flying a much larger, skillfully tuned aircraft.

If this is your first design of its type, or you desire an additional margin of security while familiarizing yourself with the airplane, you can make it possible for the optional-use SAFE® Select flight envelope defense technology developed into the receiver. No shows is needed. Simply alter the binding sequence as directed in the manual.

With SAFE Select made it possible for, you get:

Pitch and Bank Angle Limits
These envelope restricts keep the airplane from rolling or pitching upside down. They likewise avoid excessive climb or dive angles.

Automatic Self-Leveling
The airplane instantly goes back to and holds level flight when the sticks are released and in the center position. It's likewise handy for keeping the wings level throughout takeoffs/launches and landings.

Easy Switch Task—No Complex Programs Required
The basic treatment for appointing a transmitter switch to turn SAFE Select features on and off doesn't require any complex shows and takes just a couple of seconds.

If you don't want to make it possible for the SAFE Select features, just bind the receiver generally and it will work like a basic AS3X receiver.
