Overview
The E-flite® Wood® X 1.2m unleashes a new period of STOL plus 3D aerobatic ability. Based on the very popular Wood 1.5m model however featuring a new wing design, extra-large control surface areas plus a 3S and FOUR suitable power system, it provides an even broader flight envelope to provide a truly "mild to wild" experience. Hollow-core EPO construction with composite reinforcement leads to a light-weight yet strong airframe that's capable of handling extreme aerobatic maneuvers while keeping the wing filling low for excellent Short Takeoff and Landing (STOL) and slow flight efficiency. It's also geared up with high-torque, metal-equipmented servos plus the shock-absorbing landing gear of the initial model so you can fly as aggressively as you desire from almost any surface. You can even set up the consisted of leading edge slats for improved slow flight efficiency, or the optional drifts (EFL5261, offered separately) so you can fly from water. eXtreme Maneuverability
The Wood® X 1.2m features a new wing design with a shortened span plus much bigger ailerons and flaps, in addition to a bigger elevator and rudder. STOL (Short Takeoff and Landing) Capable
The new wing design has a shorter span yet almost as much wing area as the initial, plus it features drooped wingtips and can be geared up with the consisted of optional-use leading edge slats for improved slow flight and STOL efficiency. Bind-N-Fly Completion Level Benefit
Already own a Spektrum™ transmitter? Bind-N-Fly (BNF) aircraft make getting into the air quickly and with the best control experience possible easier than ever. They come out of the box with the power system, servos and a Spektrum 2.4GHz receiver set up so all you require to do is bind the receiver to a compatible transmitter, complete any final assembly, and fly!

This Bind-N-Fly Basic model is geared up with a Spektrum 2.4GHz DSMX® receiver featuring AS3X (Synthetic Stabilization–3-aXis) innovation that works behind the scenes to smooth out the effects of wind and turbulence. The result is an increased sense of stability and precision that makes you seem like you're flying a much bigger, expertly tuned aircraft.

If this is your first model of its type, or you desire an additional margin of security while familiarizing yourself with the airplane, you can enable the optional-use SAFE® Select flight envelope defense innovation developed into the receiver. No programming is required. Simply change up the binding series as directed in the manual.

With SAFE Select allowed, you get:

Pitch and Bank Angle Limits
These envelope restricts keep the airplane from rolling or pitching upside down. They also prevent excessive climb or dive angles.

Automatic Self-Leveling
The airplane instantly returns to and holds level flight when the sticks are launched and in the center position. It's also handy for keeping the wings level throughout takeoffs/launches and landings.

Easy Change Project—No Complex Programming Required
The simple treatment for designating a transmitter switch to turn SAFE Select functions on and off does not need any complex programming and takes simply a few seconds.

If you do not want to enable the SAFE Select functions, simply bind the receiver usually and it will operate like a standard AS3X receiver.
