Introduction
BEST OF THE BUTCHER BIRDS
The Second World War Germany's Focke-Wulf Fw 190A featured a relatively easy design that put a large radial engine into the narrow fuselage of a small, single-seat fighter. After the "Butcher Bird" took its first flight on June 1, 1939, its effectiveness in air superiority, interception, ground attack and battle functions led numerous Luftwaffe pilot to gladly trade their Messerschmitt Bf 109s for the brand-new warbird. This first-ever E-flite® Focke-Wulf model is based on a major reproduction when owned by the late Rudy Frasca. Painted with the wartime markings of Austrian Luftwaffe pilot Oskar Bosch, the reproduction has been flown in west coast airshows and at the National Air Races in Reno. The E-flite Fw 190A 1.5m differs from all other RC model variations by delivering exceptional Bonus Scale information, functional functions and performance in a larger size, while being easy to assemble, transport and shop. It's also geared up with a Spektrum™ Bird™ Smart ESC to provide a warbird experience unlike any other!

This first-ever E-flite® Focke-Wulf is also the most comprehensive, best handling and greatest performance RC model of the Axis warbird yet! The Fw 190A 1.5m is larger than many other models of the well-known fighter, yet it's easy to assemble — and to carry and store thanks to its distinct 3-piece wing design because the center area includes the primary gear and the outer panels simply snap into location securely without needing fasteners. The factory-installed brushless power system with its large-diameter, 3-bladed prop utilizes common SIX 3200-7000mAh batteries to provide better-than-scale, 80+ Miles Per Hour level flight speeds and almost limitless vertical performance. It also has more authentic information than many similar class and smaller sized models. The resilient, composite-reinforced airframe includes molded-in panel lines and guns, a detachable drop tank and even more Additional Scale information. Practical Bonus Scale includes — such as LED navigation lights, split flaps and control surfaces with pocket hinges — take the experience to another level. Besides adding realism, the wide-spaced primary gear with factory-installed electric retracts, resilient metal elements and scale-like length, shock-absorbing struts make it possible to fly from a variety of surfaces, consisting of paved runways and yard. Most importantly a wide variety of pilots, even those with minimal warbird experienced, can delight in flying this model — specifically the BNF® Fundamental version that includes unique AS3X® and SAFE® Select innovations. AS3X works behind the scenes to smooth out the results of wind and turbulence to provide a locked-in feel that makes it seem like you're flying a much larger aircraft. Optional-use SAFE Select provides pitch and bank angle limits along with automatic self-leveling that can be turned on and off at the flip of a switch making this one of the simplest to fly Fw 190s yet! And if you do not wish to enable the SAFE Select functions, simply bind the receiver normally and just AS3X will be active.

Already own a Spektrum™ transmitter? Bind-N-Fly (BNF) aircraft make entering into the air quickly and with the best control experience possible easier than ever. They come out of package with the power system, servos and a Spektrum 2.4GHz receiver set up so all you require to do is bind the receiver to a suitable transmitter, complete any last assembly, and fly!

This Bind-N-Fly Basic model is geared up with a Spektrum 2.4GHz DSMX® receiver including AS3X (Synthetic Stabilization–3-aXis) innovation that works behind the scenes to smooth out the results of wind and turbulence. The result is a heightened sense of stability and accuracy that makes you seem like you're flying a much larger, expertly tuned aircraft.

If this is your first model of its type, or you desire an extra margin of security while familiarizing yourself with the aircraft, you can enable the optional-use SAFE® Select flight envelope protection innovation constructed into the receiver. No programming is needed. Just change up the binding sequence as directed in the manual.

With SAFE Select allowed, you get:

Pitch and Bank Angle Limits
These envelope limits keep the aircraft from rolling or pitching upside down. They also prevent extreme climb or dive angles.

Automatic Self-Leveling
The aircraft quickly goes back to and holds level flight when the sticks are launched and in the center position. It's also practical for keeping the wings level throughout takeoffs/launches and landings.

Easy Change Task—No Complex Shows Required
The easy treatment for designating a transmitter switch to turn SAFE Select functions on and off does not require any complex programming and takes simply a couple of seconds.

If you do not wish to enable the SAFE Select functions, simply bind the receiver normally and it will function like a basic AS3X receiver.
