Mike Patey was born in Gresham, Oregon along with his twin brother Mark, numbers 5 and 6 in an 11 kid household. Growing up in a low-income household, they were 15 when they introduced their first business together, Deck-It, developing decks for their next-door neighbors in Orem, Utah.
