A cooperation between veteran RC airplane designer David Payne and Airplane Studio Style founder Mirco Pecorari, the initial Commander mPd® 1.4m blended classic lines with contemporary influences for a one-of-a-kind sport flying experience. It's now upgraded and updated for more power and much better control, and to include the benefits of Smart innovation — making it more capable and enjoyable to fly than before! The brand-new brushless power system includes a 45-amp Spektrum™ Avian™ Smart Lite ESC plus a specially-tuned motor to provide an abundance of thrust with a 3S LiPo battery, or more speed and endless vertical performance with a four battery. Control reaction, with more powerful, more accurate metal-geared servos, is so smooth and predictable that anybody moving up from a fitness instructor will feel comfy right away. The BNF® Standard version consists of an AR631 receiver to provide real-time telemetry data along with AS3X® and SAFE® Select innovations. With these advantages and more, the Commander mPd 1.4m is the ideal next action, initially low wing, or everyday sport model for a wide array of pilots!

They wanted it to stand out from the crowd while having the pilot-friendly flight attributes of conventional sport planes. This upgraded and updated version is all that and more! Easy to remove, fly, and land, it's the ideal "next action" after a fitness instructor. In the hands of skilled pilots, it's also capable of greater speeds and high-energy aerobatics. The three and four suitable brushless power system, combined with a light wing loading plus factory-installed metal-geared servos and flaps, offers the Commander mPd 1.4m a large flight envelope. It's smooth and predictable, with power to spare for performing rolling circles, knife-edge flight, and beyond. While you fly, the unique Spektrum™ Avian™ Smart Lite ESC can provide a range of real-time power system associated telemetry data including motor RPM, present, battery voltage and more – with Smart and non-Smart batteries – through suitable receivers (including the Bind-N-Fly® Standard version's AR631) and Spektrum AirWare™ geared up transmitters. The Bind-N-Fly® Standard version also provides the managing benefits of AS3X® and optional-use SAFE® Select innovations. An innovative Hands-Free Servo Connection System instantly plugs in the aileron and flap servo adapters when you install the two-piece wing with simply 4 bolts. The Commander mPd 1.4m arrives factory-finished in an exclusive Airplane Studio Style trim scheme and requires no glue for assembly. That implies you can have it ready to fly in less time than it requires to charge a battery!





 





Exclusive Technologies
The BNF® Standard version is geared up with unique Spektrum™ AS3X® and SAFE® Select innovations. AS3X works behind the scenes to smooth out the effects of wind and turbulence to provide a locked-in feel that makes it seem like you're flying a much bigger plane. Optional-use SAFE Select provides pitch and bank angle limitations along with automated self-leveling that can be turned on and off at the flip of a switch! And if you don't want to enable the SAFE Select features, merely bind the receiver normally and just AS3X will be active.
 







Smart Technology
The Commander mPd® 1.4m is geared up with an exclusive Spektrum™ Avian™ Smart Lite ESC that can provide a range of real-time power system associated telemetry data including motor RPM, present, battery voltage and more – with Smart and non-Smart batteries – through suitable receivers (including the AR631) and Spektrum AirWare™ geared up transmitters (including the DX6e and 8e, DX6 G2/3 and 8 G2, the DX9, NX6, 8 and 10, iX12, iX20 and others) while you fly.
 



Wide Flight Envelope
The light wing loading and factory-installed flaps interact to give the model a large flight envelope. Control reaction is so smooth and predictable that anybody making their "next action" from a fitness instructor will feel comfy right away. More skilled pilots will find that aerobatics like rolling circles, knife-edge flight and beyond feel crisp and accurate and can be carried out with power to spare.
