Overview

Delighting in a giant-scale flying experience is much easier than you might think with the Carbon-Z® Cessna 150. This Bind-N-Fly® Standard version includes a brushless power system and features the servos and a Spektrum™ AS3X® receiver with optional SAFE® Select technology installed.

Incredible Scale Detail and LED Lights
This spectacular reproduction of among Cessna’s most popular aircraft steps 84-inches from wingtip to wingtip and comes loaded with scale details. These include things like pre-installed LED lighting, a shock-absorbing nose strut, completely functional flaps and wheel trousers. Other scale touches include molded panel lines and control surfaces that are corrugated like those on the full-blown version.

Wide Flight Envelope
The inherent stability of the high-wing Cessna style and smooth action of the AS3X receiver will instantly put more recent pilots at ease. Experienced pilots will like the broad flight envelope and abundance of power. Slow and scale flight, lazy 8s, knife-edge maneuvers, rolling circles – it can do everything.

Brushless Power System and Functional Flaps
The powerful brushless motor is coupled with a 60A ESC that can handle a variety of 4-6S 4000-7000mAh batteries so you can make the flying experience as moderate or wild as you want. All this offered power, together with the functional flaps, offers the aircraft outstanding short-field takeoff and landing efficiency, too.

Quick Field Assembly and Hands-Free Servo Connectors
After initial assembly, you won’t need any tools to attach or get rid of the wings at the field. You don’t even have to touch the servo leads. The innovative Hands-Free Servo Connection System instantly plugs in the wing servos and LED light adapters whenever you attach the wing.

AS3X Receiver with Optional SAFE Select Innovation
The model’s AS3X (Artificial Stabilization – 3-aXis) receiver works behind the scenes to ravel the impacts of wind and turbulence. The outcome is a sense of stability and accuracy that makes you feel like you’re flying a skillfully tuned aircraft.

This receiver likewise includes optional SAFE® Select technology that you can switch on and off with the flip of a transmitter switch. With SAFE Select technology activated, you get:

Pitch and Bank Angle Limits
These keep the aircraft from rolling or pitching upside down. They likewise avoid extreme climb or dive angles during takeoff and landing.

Automatic Self-Leveling
Immediately returns the wings to level when the sticks are released.

Optional Float Set and Accessories Available Separately
You have the alternative of setting up drifts with a working water rudder so you can fly off water. Installation is simple and can be done in simply a couple of minutes.

Big plane but easy to fly!
By Jerry J on December 4, 2020   Verified Purchase

I've heard good reviews about this and talked to a few people who have flown it. This plane took a bit more work than my other E-flite models but was easy to assemble. It took only a few linkage adjustments after assembly before I had it in the air. It's a model that can be flown in Real Flight 9.5 but is very easy to fly without extra practice. I'm fairly new at flying and I had no issues with it. I'm running a 6S 5000mAh battery in it and it has a lot of power for some basic 3D tricks. The larger size makes it steady in a breeze. One word of caution... it does like to lift pretty quickly even in Safe mode, making it easy to scrape the tail when taking off. They have put a plastic strip across the bottom of the tail to save you from damaging the foam. With the flaps and a little bit of wind, you can almost make it hover in the air with no throttle. I'm still playing with the flaps/elevator mix on my transmitter, but it looks like a 15% and 37% elevator mix is a good place to start. I'm really happy with this one!
