The E-flite EC-1500 Twin is an innovative aircraft that provides a unique flight experience for a wide variety of pilots! This multi-motor model carries echoes of full-scale civil and military cargo transport aircraft however has an amazing range of capabilities and options no other airplane can match. Featuring three and four suitable power systems with custom 5-blade counter-rotating props, the EC-1500's flight envelope incorporates everything from slow and scale-like to sport flying and even aggressive 3D aerobatic capabilities! You can fly from paved, yard and dirt surfaces; from snow with the included optional-use skis; or from water using the optional float set (sold independently). It also consists of factory-installed LED lights, a functional cargo door, and a completely painted surface you can personalize with the included Ohio Air National Guard, Flying Force, Army, Coast Guard, Militaries, Navy, and other markings. It's also been updated with Smart electronic devices to offer more capabilities than ever previously, including differential thrust, motor reversing, and real-time telemetry data!
This upgraded and updated E-flite® EC-1500 Twin 1.5m includes a ground-up design enhanced for ability, versatility, and enjoyable to deliver a flying experience you merely can't get with any other airplane! It's successfully many airplanes in one, with a large flight envelope that consists of slow and scale-like to sport flying and even aggressive 3D aerobatic ability. The twin power systems include brushless outrunner motors with custom five-blade counter-rotating props – including upgraded design bolt-to-the-motor prop adapters for simpler and a lot more protected prop installation. This setup provides excellent performance with a 3S 3200–6400mAh LiPo battery, or you can install a four battery for the power to hover and unlimited vertical ability — without adjustments or upgrades! Plus, the motors are matched to a special 40-amp Spektrum™ Bird™ Double Smart ESC that can supply a variety of real-time power system-related telemetry information with Smart and non-Smart batteries via suitable receivers (including the AR8360T set up in the BNF® Basic version) and Spektrum AirWare™ geared up transmitters. The BNF® Basic version is geared up with an AR8360T receiver to supply full-range, real-time telemetry information, including battery voltage, ESC temperature, and more — plus differential thrust and motor reversing for special ground handling and other capabilities — along with the benefits of AS3X® and optional-use SAFE® Select technologies. This 8-channel receiver, plus selectable-size ailerons and practical flaps that can travel both methods, also makes several wing setup options possible – including "crow" and/or full-span aileron/flaperon/spoileron setups.
There are eight factory-installed servos, including metal-geared servos on all of the control surfaces plus the practical cargo door so you can bring and drop imaginative payloads from the big cargo bay. Realistic-looking LED landing, navigation, and simulated strobe lights are powered from the flight battery so you can fly from dawn up until dusk — from paved, yard, or dirt surfaces; off snow using the included skis; or from big ponds and lakes using optional floats (sold independently). Eliminate the magnetically secured nose cone to install a GoPro® or comparable cam for taping aerial HD footage or install a separate FPV cam on the big top hatch (cameras/gear sold independently). Plus, you can use the included decals to personalize the now fully-painted gray surface with Ohio Air National Guard, Flying Force, Army, Coast Guard, Militaries, Navy, and other markings to customize your model! And the outcome is the most capable, flexible, and fun to fly twin yet for a wide variety of intermediate to knowledgeable pilots thinking about scale-like, sport, and even aggressive 3D aerobatic flying.
Already own a Spektrum™ transmitter? Bind-N-Fly (BNF) aircraft make entering the air rapidly and with the best control experience possible simpler than ever. They come out of the box with the power system, servos, and a Spektrum 2.4GHz receiver set up, so all you require to do is bind the receiver to a suitable transmitter, end up any final assembly, and fly!
This EC-1500 Twin 1.5m is geared up with exclusive Spektrum™ AS3X® and SAFE® Select technologies. AS3X works behind the scenes to ravel the results of wind and turbulence to deliver a locked-in feel that makes it seem like you're flying a much larger airplane. Optional-use SAFE Select provides pitch and bank angle limits along with automatic self-leveling that can be turned on and off at the flip of a switch! Both the PNP and BNF Basic variations are geared up with a special Spektrum™ Bird™ Double Smart Lite ESC that can supply a range of real-time power system-related telemetry information including battery voltage, ESC temperature, and more – with Smart and non-Smart batteries – via suitable receivers (including the AR8360T set up in the BNF® Basic version) and Spektrum AirWare™ geared up transmitters (including the DX6e and 8e, DX6 G2/3 and 8 G2, the DX9, NX6, 8, 10 and 20, iX12, iX14, iX20, and others) while you fly. Plus, reversing and differential thrust offer improved ground dealing with for simpler taxiing, launches and landings, along with the ability to carry out special aerobatic maneuvers.
The EC-1500's distinct, ground-breaking design makes it capable of slow and scale-like flying, sport flying, and even aggressive 3D aerobatics — all in the same flight! And with numerous landing equipment, cargo carrying, cam installing, and other options, it's incredibly flexible, too.
The practical flaps can travel both methods, and you can choose how big the flaps and ailerons are by setting up the included joiners in one of two different methods. And since a separate servo controls each surface area, several wing setup and blending options are available (depending upon the variety of channels of the receiver and transmitter you use), including full-span ailerons that can deliver considerably increased roll authority, flaperons, spoilerons, and even crow!

The functional, servo-controlled cargo door has a 2.5 x 4.2 inch (65 x 107 mm) opening and practically 140 cubic inches of cargo bay volume (cargo bay is 2.5 x 4.2 x 12.7 inches / 65 x 107 x 323 mm). It can be utilized to bring and airdrop everything from parachute guys to sweet and other imaginative payloads.
