Cheap plastic.

Axles are made of plastic and work well for low power driving. I use 3 cell batteries however and preferred high speed performance and wheelies on demand. I have to replace these axles about every four hours. Ten bucks a piece is much more affordable than 40 bucks a piece for the metal axles. Someday I’ll save enough money to buy the set.
