Improving on the FNP-45 Tactical, established for the U.S. Joint Combat Pistol Program, the FNX-45 Tactical is the latest in technological developments in handgun engineering, using .45 ACP performance and a host of special features that no other handgun can match. The checkered polymer frame is provided in Black and Flat Dark Earth and has a low-bore axis for lowered felt recoil and improved operator control. Interchangeable backstraps are available to quickly tailor the grip feel. All running controls are fully ambidextrous for ease of use. The 5.3" barrel has a threaded muzzle to accept sound suppressors, compensators and other accessories. The slide has prominent fight sights particularly developed to be used with a suppressor.

Cerakote is a Polymer-Ceramic finish that can be used to metals, plastics, polymers and wood. The special formulation used for Cerakote ceramic finish improves a variety of physical performance properties including abrasion/wear resistance, deterioration resistance, chemical resistance, effect strength, and hardness.
