Colts Design 1908 Vest Pocket .25 ACP handgun (or Design N as it was referred to internally by the Colt factory) is possibly among the more intriguing Colt designs to gather. It was produced from 1908 till simply after WWII, with the last handgun being shipped in 1948. Throughout production, there were a substantial number of basic production and factory embellished variations of this model. Due to its size and little quality, there is a fairly high survival rate of Vest Pocket .25s in much better than average condition.

Until World War II, the Colt 1908 Vest Pocket was Colts 5th most popular model. It was just surpassed by the 1903 .32 ACP and Design of 1911 U.S. Army .45 ACP automated handguns and the Official Authorities and Authorities Favorable Special revolvers, 4 designs for which there were large military agreements and police orders.
