ARC-2 Unique Functions:

Dedicated Descent Control: (ESC Mode 4) Descent Control simulates the electronic systems fitted to a lot of modern-day 4x4's. It stabilizes braking force against the RPM of the throttle allowing the car to make a regulated descent down even the steepest of inclines using minimal throttle and the rigs own weight. You might call it 'Gravity Assist' as the rig gradually descends under complete control. In usage, the Descent Control Force decreases as throttle is increased and increases as throttle application is minimized. This function is also particularly beneficial when ascending up an incline. At zero throttle the ARC-1 holds the rig in position at complete brake, acting like a hand brake. This then permits the motorist time to prepare their next move and select the ideal line. As the throttle boosts and the rig climbs, the brake impact decreases. KEEP IN MIND: In Crawler Mode, Descent Control is active as standard. However the ESC still has instant reverse, an important function in Rock Crawling to help stop a rig toppling in reverse on its axis on a really steep climb using a blip of reverse.

Smart Brake:

(ESC Modes 1 and 3) For non-Crawler applications, when the car goes from Forward to Reverse or Reverse to Forward rapidly, the ESC will enter into brake mode first, rather of reversing the motor immediately. This is to secure the drive line in specific cars from excessive shocks and stress. KEEP IN MIND: The ESC will stay in brake mode unless the throttle is gone back to the NEUTRAL position for a brief moment. Smart brake is only activated in Forward/Reverse mode and Newbie mode.
