Reedy's Sonic SP5 stock motors are now readily available! Including an unique style, Reedy's Sonic SP5 includes many functions that will put it at the top of the pyramid when it concerns equip motor performance.

The extraordinary efficiency of the SP5 begins at the heart of the motor--the stator. Designed internal, the stator's profile is meant to achieve optimum torque and power output without compromising RPM. Premium copper magnet wire, sized to the optimum that the rules allow and wound with care to keep resistance near the legal minimum, is treated with heat transfer epoxy to dissipate heat and decrease internal temperatures leading to less fade over the course of the race. An oversized collector ring not only dissipates heat, but in combination with thick solder tabs, minimizes resistance and power loss.

A well balanced rotor features a high-strength magnet that maximizes dimensional rules to produce fade-free power with optimum effectiveness. The rotor is supported by precision stainless steel ball bearings to accommodate high RPM loads with exceptional effectiveness and dependability. Like all Reedy Sonic motors, a premium sensor board rounds out the motor's interior.

Externally, the SP5 utilizes a light-weight two-piece CNC machined aluminum real estate with an aluminum endcap and timing adjustability to accommodate fine-tuning for specific applications. This lightweight package is a welcome method to improve vehicle handling while improving chassis tuning flexibility.
