Overview
Quick, rugged and factory-built, the 2S LiPo-compatible ARRMA® GRANITE™ 4X4 MEGA RTR comes prepared to bash in any terrain. This version features new equipment that even more increases the initial monster truck’s currently excellent efficiency and durability.

The GRANITE™ 4X4 MEGA RTR Beast Truck is DESIGNED QUICKLY, DESIGNED HARD — developed for interesting slamming speeds and extreme, all-terrain durability. New features to boost its unstoppable efficiency consist of a stronger chassis and kept hinge pin plates; guiding with more clearance for stones; a castellated slipper pad and sliding equipment mesh; and rubber shielded bearings throughout.

The monster truck now also includes the Spektrum™ SLT3™ transmitter and SLR300 receiver. The transmitter is ergonomically created for long periods of fatigue-free slamming and has a foam wheel for exact fingertip control plus a better hand grip and trigger feel. New bashers will have the ability to set throttle limits at 50% or 75% until they are prepared to use the full speed potential. The SLT3™ is compatible with Technique® SLT™ receivers to run other RTR lorries you might own, and includes a third channel to control optional functions such as lights and winches on models that have them.

It keeps the innovative modular design improved by ARRMA® engineers for simple part gain access to and upkeep. The power module, with improved dirt management, includes a MEGA 550 motor, motor plate, slipper clutch assembly and equipment cover. The power module can be separated from the chassis as a total system by eliminating just one screw. With the power module eliminated, the slipper clutch can be reached quickly for changes by getting 3 screws that attach the equipment cover. The equipment ratio can be finely tuned as the power module now utilizes a sliding motor mesh design.

A two-piece molding screwed to the truck’s chassis works as its electronics module, including a water resistant receiver box, servo install and ESC tray. The SLR300 receiver installs inside the receiver box for security from dirt and wetness. The ultra-compact ESC is screwed to the top of the module, enabling fast access to the on/off switch, while the servo installs to the side. All 3 components can be eliminated together, rapidly and easily.

The differential module homes each differential system in an ingenious yoke design. Only 8 screws need to be eliminated to release the front and rear yokes. The power module can then be separated, enabling you to pivot the gearbox cases for differential gain access to. The GRANITE™ 4X4 MEGA RTR comes brushless-ready with 37T 1.35mod diffs with silicone O-rings. The large gears can hold up against big torque, and internal metal gears have been chosen for reliability throughout extreme bashing.

Its full-time 4WD transmission utilizes strong front, rear, and centerline telescopic driveshafts that can’t be lost throughout heavy effects, unlike dogbones. An easy, trustworthy, responsive guiding assembly matches the ultra-reliable drive system and features a servo horn with integrated servo saver. The GRANITE™ 4X4 MEGA RTR includes the water resistant Spektrum™ SPMS650 digital servo for 20% more torque than the previous version’s ADS-5 servo.

The self-bleeding, oil-filled shocks, now with silicone O-rings, use an attempted and checked, coil-over design for basic upkeep and remarkable handling. Their innovative rod-end has a molded-in spring perch for additional toughness. High chassis guards limit the amount of dirt and debris that can enter into the chassis tub. Shock-absorbing loops keep the front and rear bumpers secured to the chassis, providing defense against heavy impacts.

Tough, multi-spoke black MT wheels with dBoots® Fortress™ MT tires give the GRANITE™ 4X4 MEGA RTR effective traction for slamming on practically any terrain. Several battery types can be utilized with the hook-and-loop installing, from 6-cell NiMH packs to a 2S block pack. This version comes with a Dynamite® 3300 mAh 8.4V 7-cell Speedpack® 2 Hump NiMH battery that provides 35% more run time compared to the 2400mAh pack of its predecessor.
