Overview
Fast, rugged and factory-built, the 2S LiPo-compatible ARRMA® GRANITE™ 4X4 MEGA RTR comes prepared to bash in any surface. This version includes new devices that even more increases the initial beast truck’s currently impressive performance and durability.

The GRANITE™ 4X4 MEGA RTR Beast Truck is CREATED QUICKLY, CREATED TOUGH — developed for interesting bashing speeds and severe, all-terrain durability. New includes to improve its unstoppable performance include a stronger chassis and kept hinge pin plates; steering with more clearance for stones; a castellated slipper pad and moving gear mesh; and rubber shielded bearings throughout.

The beast truck now also consists of the Spektrum™ SLT3™ transmitter and SLR300 receiver. The transmitter is ergonomically designed for extended periods of fatigue-free bashing and has a foam wheel for accurate fingertip control plus an improved hand grip and trigger feel. New bashers will be able to set throttle limitations at 50% or 75% till they are prepared to utilize the complete speed potential. The SLT3™ works with Technique® SLT™ receivers to run other RTR vehicles you might own, and consists of a 3rd channel to control optional functions such as lights and winches on designs that have them.

It keeps the innovative modular style refined by ARRMA® engineers for simple element access and maintenance. The power module, with enhanced dirt management, consists of a MEGA 550 motor, motor plate, slipper clutch assembly and gear cover. The power module can be removed from the chassis as a total system by getting rid of just one screw. With the power module eliminated, the slipper clutch can be reached easily for modifications by getting three screws that attach the gear cover. The gear ratio can be carefully tuned as the power module now uses a sliding motor mesh design.

A two-piece molding screwed to the truck’s chassis functions as its electronic devices module, containing a waterproof receiver box, servo mount and ESC tray. The SLR300 receiver installs inside the receiver box for protection from dirt and moisture. The ultra-compact ESC is screwed to the top of the module, enabling fast access to the on/off switch, while the servo installs to the side. All three elements can be removed together, rapidly and easily.

The differential module houses each differential system in an innovative yoke style. Only 8 screws require to be removed to release the front and rear yokes. The power module can then be removed, enabling you to pivot the gearbox cases for differential access. The GRANITE™ 4X4 MEGA RTR comes brushless-ready with 37T 1.35mod diffs with silicone O-rings. The big gears can endure big torque, and internal metal gears have been chosen for reliability throughout severe bashing.

Its full-time 4WD transmission uses strong front, back, and centerline telescopic driveshafts that can’t be lost throughout heavy effects, unlike dogbones. An easy, dependable, responsive steering assembly matches the ultra-reliable drive system and includes a servo horn with built-in servo saver. The GRANITE™ 4X4 MEGA RTR consists of the waterproof Spektrum™ SPMS650 digital servo for 20% more torque than the previous version’s ADS-5 servo.

The self-bleeding, oil-filled shocks, now with silicone O-rings, utilize a tried and tested, coil-over style for simple maintenance and incredible handling. Their innovative rod-end has a molded-in spring perch for extra strength. High chassis guards restrict the amount of dirt and particles that can enter the chassis tub. Shock-absorbing loops keep the front and rear bumpers protected to the chassis, offering defense versus heavy impacts.

Tough, multi-spoke black MT wheels with dBoots® Fortress™ MT tires give the GRANITE™ 4X4 MEGA RTR efficient traction for bashing on almost any surface. Several battery types can be utilized with the hook-and-loop installing, from 6-cell NiMH packs to a 2S block pack. This version includes a Dynamite® 3300 mAh 8.4V 7-cell Speedpack® 2 Bulge NiMH battery that supplies 35% more run time compared to the 2400mAh pack of its predecessor.
