A great step-up from brushed slamming, the 1/10 scale ARRMA® BIG ROCK™ TEAM TAXI 4X4 THREE BLX ready-to-run monster truck delivers a thrilling combination of ARRMA® toughness, street truck style and 50+ miles per hour speed capability. Developed on the effective 4X4 BLX platform, its accuracy aluminum, tough steel and composite products come together for an easy-to-maintain, super-durable vehicle style that’s now been updated to more boost the monster truck’s excellent efficiency and durability.
The BIG ROCK™ 4X4 THREE BLX is CREATED FAST, CREATED TOUGH — built for amazing slamming speeds and extreme, all-terrain sturdiness. New includes that boost its unstoppable efficiency consist of a stronger chassis and kept hinge pin plates; guiding with more clearance for stones; a castellated slipper pad and moving equipment mesh; longer suspension arms for a 1.10 inch boost in width; and rubber-shielded bearings throughout.
It also now consists of a Spektrum™ SLT3™ transmitter and SLR300 receiver. The transmitter is ergonomically developed for long periods of fatigue-free slamming and has a foam wheel for exact fingertip control, plus an enhanced hand grip and trigger feel. New bashers will be able to set throttle limitations at 50% or 75% until they are all set to utilize the full speed potential. The SLT3™ works with Method® SLT™ receivers to run other RTR automobiles you may own, and consists of a third channel to control optional features such as lights and winches on designs that have them.
ARRMA® now powers the BIG ROCK™ 4X4 THREE BLX with a brushless system featuring its BLX100 ESC and the Spektrum™ Firma™ 3200Kv brushless motor. The combination provides extraordinary torque, velocity and speed. The transmission and chassis are ruggedly crafted to make the most of the electronics’ power.
It has the innovative modular style perfected by ARRMA® engineers for easy element access and maintenance. The power module, with enhanced dirt management, includes the motor with ARRMA® heatsink and cooling fan, plus motor plate, slipper clutch assembly and equipment cover. The power module can be detached from the chassis as a complete system by removing simply one screw. With the power module eliminated, the slipper clutch can be reached easily for modifications by securing three screws that attach the equipment cover. The equipment ratio can be finely tuned as the power module now uses a moving motor mesh design.
A two-piece molding screwed to the truck’s chassis serves as its electronics module, containing a water resistant receiver box, servo mount and ESC tray. The SLR300 receiver installs inside the receiver box for defense from dirt and moisture. The ultra-compact ESC is screwed to the top of the module, enabling quick access to the on/off switch, while the servo installs to the side. All three parts can be removed together, rapidly and easily.
The differential module houses each differential system in an ingenious yoke style. Just eight screws require to be removed to release the front and rear yokes. The power module can then be detached, enabling you to pivot the gearbox cases for differential access. The BIG ROCK™ 4X4 THREE BLX RTR comes brushless-ready with 37T 1.35mod diffs with silicone O-rings. The large gears can stand up to big torque, and internal metal gears have been selected for reliability during extreme bashing.
Its full-time 4WD transmission uses strong front, rear, and centerline telescopic driveshafts that can’t be lost during heavy effects, unlike dogbones. A basic, reputable, responsive guiding assembly matches the ultra-reliable drive system and includes a servo horn with integrated servo saver. The BIG ROCK™ 4X4 THREE BLX RTR consists of the waterproof Spektrum™ SPMS651 metal-geared digital servo for 15% more torque than the previous version’s ADS-7M servo.
The self-bleeding, oil-filled shocks, now with silicone O-rings, utilize an attempted and evaluated, coil-over style for simple maintenance and incredible handling. Their ingenious rod-end has a molded-in spring perch for additional toughness. Prolonged height dirt defenders and a close-fitting body limitation the amount of dirt and particles that can enter into the chassis tub. Front and rear bumpers use defense against impacts.
Accented by matte black front and rear bumpers and wheels, the BIG ROCK™ 4X4 THREE BLX truck’s long, scale Team Cab body marks the epitome of street style.
